On May 11th, 2007 a delegation of 20 key experts of the Chinese electrical power and wind energy sector visited DIgSILENT GmbH in the course of their European "Wind Power Study Tour 2007". The tour has been organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Technische Zusammenarbeit (gtz) GmbH, China LongYuan Power Group (CLYPG) and China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI), which are working together in the Chinese-German technical cooperation project "China Wind Power Research and Training Project".

The main topics of the visit to DIgSILENT GmbH focused on the analysis and discussion of planning issues regarding the grid integration of large on-shore and off-shore wind farms. After an introduction to the Chinese Power and Wind-Energy Sectors by Andreas DuBois ( gtz), Dr. Markus Poeller introduced DIgSILENT and our main products which are especially suitable for modelling and analysing the detailed behaviour of wind turbines in large wind farms. He also presented large scale wind power projects from the consulting group of DIgSILENT.
