French User Group Meeting, Strasbourg
The French speaking community of PowerFactory users met on May 21st and 22nd in Strasbourg to share professional experiences regarding electrical engineering in connection with the use of PowerFactory.
In the present context, major concepts such as Smart Grids, distributed power generation, renewable energies, battery energy storage, power electronics, security of data have been well-illustrated trough several technical presentations.
Professionals of the electrical industry attending the meeting – research centers, power energy producers, distribution system operators DSO, transmission system operators TSO and universities – showed that they propose very innovative technical solutions based on PowerFactory, which respond relevantly to the increased complexity of electrical systems.
During these two days, DIgSILENT showed that the company remains very active in R&D in order to provide advanced simulation and analysis software tools. Presentations of topics such as probabilistic analysis, optimization of unit commitment & dispatch optimization, hosting capacity analysis and technology of co-simulation were followed with a lot of interest.
In addition to that, DIgSILENT presented its centralized asset management software StationWare and Grid compliance monitoring system PFM300-GCC.
