How can I control the negative sequence current of the static generator?

Answer

If the option "Current source model: Use negative sequence angle for negative sequence current source" is enabled, the negative sequence angle is either calculated internally or can be defined via the cos2ref and sin2ref input signals. In this case, no additional transformation of the input signals is required. This approach is recommended for a more straightforward implementation. Further details can be found in the technical reference for the static generator.

If this option is not used, the transformation of the negative sequence currents relies on the cosref and sinref signals, which correspond to the positive sequence voltage angle. As a result, compensation is necessary to obtain the "real" negative sequence input signals. The attached project includes an example demonstrating this transformation.

The composite model ElmGenstat_for_neg_seq_control from the attached project can be used in slots instead of the static generator, allowing for control of both positive and negative sequence currents.
