This would be the standard procedure:

• Open the dialog of the line element by double-clicking on its graphic representation
• Click on the Sections/Line Loads button. A list with all the sections will appear, including the internal nodes connecting each of them.
• A new section can be created by clicking on the New Object icon. When doing so, a new section will be automatically created with an associated index. The indexes are defined in increasing order, and the last section which was created receives the highest number.
• The index numbers can be modified when the Detail Mode is activated by clicking on the corresponding icon.
