Using element parameter via signals is not possible in DSL but the configuration script, available since V2020, can help you to get the task done. The configuration script is defined in the type definition of the common model. 

The attached example contains a common model which is configured to the plini and qlini value of the load by the script.

Please note that the parameters are set only in a temporary way, this means they are valid during the simulation but they are NOT stored in the common model. The parameters are set by defining in the script the same parameters again on the result page (they have to match by name).
