Developments in Power Systems Protection DPSP 2020, Liverpool, UK

The DPSP conference is a world-leading forum where suppliers, utilities and academia meet to publish results of research and technical advances in the power system protection and control systems sector. This year's DPSP took place in Liverpool, UK from 10th-12th March 2020.
This was the third DPSP in a row at which DIgSILENT had been in attendance and DIgSILENT were pleased to meet existing and potential users as well as to see PowerFactory being used in many of the papers presented. At this year’s stand DIgSILENT exhibited the protection capabilities of PowerFactory, highlighting the new user interface in PowerFactory 2020, the improved distance protection coordination assistant tool and the powerful protection audit functionality. The capabilities of StationWare for managing protection settings were naturally well received and grid code compliance monitoring via PowerFactory Monitor drew a lot of interest from visitors to the stand with protection engineers increasingly becoming interested in the behaviour of power electronics interfaced generation during fault events.
